Rule-based systems are used in a wide variety of applications, including expert systems, decision support systems, and business process management systems. RuleML is a family of XML-based languages for representing and exchanging rule-based knowledge. RR is a family of reasoning algorithms for processing rule-based knowledge.

The RuleML+RR conference is a forum for the presentation and discussion of new research results in the field of rule-based systems. The conference will feature a variety of tracks, including tracks on:

• Rule Markup Languages
• Reasoning Algorithms
• Applications of Rule-Based Systems

The conference will also feature a number of invited talks from leading researchers in the field.
